On November 13, 2025, the Monmouth Park Charity Fund hosted its 78th Annual Roberta O. Fox Distribution of Funds Tea at the picturesque Turf Club at Monmouth Park Racetrack. This signature event celebrated 56 Monmouth County nonprofit organizations, each receiving a Traditional Legacy Grant in support of vital community programs. In total, $206,250 in grants were distributed to strengthen essential services throughout the community.
The program also honored exceptional volunteerism. All nominees were presented with certificates of appreciation, and Jan Cleary of Common Ground Grief Center was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for her remarkable commitment and service.
Generously sponsored by Anita, Joey, Veronica, and Peter Roselle, along with Fortune Title Agency, Inc., the event brought together grant recipients, community leaders, and dedicated supporters. Guests enjoyed light refreshments and moving testimonials illustrating how these grants will make a transformative impact across the county.
This year’s grants will fund initiatives addressing essential community needs, including services for at-risk populations and individuals with special needs. Representatives from recipient organizations shared powerful stories demonstrating the significant difference these funds will make in the lives of those they serve.
Since its founding, the Monmouth Park Charity Fund has awarded nearly $11 million in grants to local nonprofits, reaffirming its enduring commitment to strengthening the Monmouth County community.
“We remain profoundly appreciative of our Board of Trustees, partners, and supporters whose unwavering dedication sustains our mission,” said Maureen Lloyd and Maria Farhat Tanzola, Co-Presidents of the Board of Trustees. “The Distribution Tea continues to be a treasured tradition—one that allows us to honor the remarkable efforts of our grant recipients. Through these meaningful investments and collaborations, we strengthen local organizations, expand their capacity, and help create lasting, positive change throughout our community.”
